A: Yes, PURETi Clean is certified by the Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) as an
Environmentally Preferable Product and point worthy in the LEED program of the U.S. Green Building Council.
PURETi Fresh
Q: What kind of odors will PURETi Fresh eliminate?
A: PURETi Fresh will eliminate any organic odor. It is most commonly used to eliminate the following organic malodors: Tobacco Smoke Fire Damage Human & Agriculture Waste Gasoline or other petroleum-based fuels

Q: How long will PURETi Fresh last?
A: When applied properly, PURETi Fresh will deliver its remarkable benefits for up to three years.

Q: Can I apply PURETi Fresh to clothing?
A: Yes. It can be applied to clothing and will eliminate any organic malodor, such as tobacco smoke, but once the item is laundered PURETi Fresh is no longer effective. For long lasting antimicrobial protection, we suggest using FabricAide.

Q: How long does it take for PURETi Fresh to start working?
A: Approximately 2-3 days.

Q: Does PURETi Fresh qualify for LEEDs Points?
A:
Yes. PURETi Fresh is certified by the Scientific Certification System (SCS) as an Environmentally Preferable Product and point worthy in the LEED program of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Q: What kind of light is needed for PURETi Fresh to work?
A: PURETi Fresh is activated by ultraviolet light, and more specifically the UV-A range of light. Sources of UV-A light include: direct sunlight, ambient light (found on cloudy days or in the shade) and artificial fluorescent light. The strength of UV light is measured in watts per square centimeter or mW/cm2. To experience the odor-eliminating and air-cleansing benefits of PURETi Fresh 0.002 mW/cm2 is required, a very modest light intensity. Artificial fluorescent lamps and sunlight provide more than enough UV-A light for PURETi Fresh to work properly.

Q: How PURETi Fresh applied?
A:
CSG has developed a customized electrostatic spray system that has been optimized to apply PURETi products in the best possible manner. Fabrics and textiles are treated by applying one coat of PURETi Fresh.
SAS - Surface Antimicrobial System
Q: What is the Surface Antimicrobial System?
A: The Surface Antimicrobial System is comprised of a family of products designed to eliminate illness-causing microorganisms and continually inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold and fungi for extended periods. CSG has developed treatments specifically designed to be applied to a wide range of substrates. SurfaceAideTM 1000, SurfaceAide XL and SurfaceClean should be used for surfaces, FabricAide® should be used for all washable fabrics and TurfAide should be used for synthetic turf fields.

Q: How long will the treatment last and what is the warranty on a treated surface?
A: Professional applications of SurfaceAide 1000 last for up to 3 years and is warranted for this time span. SurfaceAide 1000 applied by the customer is warranted for up to 1 year. SurfaceAide XL will provide protection for up to 90 days.

Q: What surfaces can I apply SurfaceAide antimicrobial technology to?
A: SurfaceAide is ideal for high traffic, high contact touch points and surfaces where microbial contamination is of concern. It can be applied to any hard, non-porous surface.

Q: Is this antimicrobial technology safe to use?
A: Yes. All products are EPA registered and are water based, non-toxic and non-sensiting to human skin.

Q: Why is SurfaceClean necessary in the SAS system?
A:
SurfaceClean is a powerful disinfectant specifically formulated to work in synergy with SurfaceAide treated surfaces. It is important to disinfect surfaces before applying SurfaceAide, as this first step will eliminate 99.9% of bacteria and germs on the surface and will allow SurfaceAide to work effectively. SurfaceClean is effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus.

Q: After treating the surface with SurfaceAide, do I still have to clean the surface and if so, are there restrictions on what types of cleaning chemicals I can use?
A:
Yes, any surface treated with SurfaceAide products will still need to be cleaned on a regular basis, but application of harsh chemicals will not be necessary. SurfaceClean, the cleaner/ disinfectant developed by CSG, was designed to work in synergy with SurfaceAide treated surfaces and equipment. By cleaning the SurfaceAide treated surface, the antimicrobial is able to effectively and continuously control the growth of harmful contamination.

Q: How are SurfaceAide products applied?
A: The preferred method of applying SurfaceAide 1000 is through trained and certified applicators, who use an electrostatic sprayer. This ensures complete coverage of the antimicrobial on the surface. Applying SurfaceAide 1000 and SurfaceAide XL yourself can be done through various methods, including spraying and wiping the product onto surfaces.

Q: Is SAS a cost effective solution?
A: Yes. To be guaranteed the same efficacy and 24/7 protection of SAS, surfaces and fabrics
would have to use heavy chemical disinfectant every time a surface or fabric was touched round the clock. The material and labor cost savings alone makes SAS a sound financial decision.

Q: How do I treat my fabrics with SAS?
A: To treat all washable fabrics you would use FabricAide. To apply FabricAide simply pour 4 oz. into a load of clean laundry during the rinse cycle. After the load of laundry is dried, an extremely durable bond will be formed to the garment providing active antimicrobial protection against the odors, stains and discoloration caused by bacteria, mold, fungi and mildew.

Q: How long will the antimicrobial protection in FabricAide last?
A: One rinse cycle with FabricAide provides antimicrobial protection on your fabrics for up to 30 washes.

Q: With what types of fabric can you use FabricAide?
A: FabricAide can be used with any type of commercial fabric available on the market.
